Floyd Mayweather is set to return to the ring for more exhibition fights in the near future.
The retired 50-0 boxing legend famously stepped back through the ropes on New Year’s Eve 2018 in Japan, when he knocked out Tenshin Nasukawa in one round.
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, Floyd joined former opponent Zab Judah on Instagram Live who asked him if he would be fighting again soon.
Mayweather replied: “No. I got a couple of exhibitions I’m doing.
“I got a couple of exhibitions, I’m doing little exhibitions overseas.
“It’s paying though.”
Last year, Mayweather announced that he would be making a comeback in 2020, working with UFC boss Dana White.
He subsequently teased a potential rematch with Conor McGregor, or similar crossover boxing match with Khabib Nurmagomedov.
However, these plans appear to have been put on hold by the coronavirus pandemic.
When McGregor announced his retirement this week, Floyd appeared less than pleased.
Mayweather blasted the Irishman by leaving a comment after the UFC superstar posted a picture on Instagram.
“If I’m not mistaken, didn’t you tell Mike Tyson you could beat me if we fought a second time?” Mayweather wrote.
“Now you’re quitting! I thought you wanted to beat the best?
“Well, if you decide to come back, I will be waiting to punish you again.”
