Amazon Prime to show four Premier League matches for FREE when football returns
Amazon has confirmed it will make all four of its Premier League games for the rest of the 2019/20 season free to watch.
England’s top flight is preparing to return on June 17 amid the coronavirus pandemic.
All games will be played behind closed doors but to ensure fans do not miss out all 92 remaining fixtures will be shown live.
The government pushed for some Premier League matches to be screened free-to-air and Sky Sports announced that 25 of its allocated 64 matches will be available to everyone on its Pick channel.
The BBC also has the rights to screen four games on terrestrial TV.
Amazon has followed suit and revealed their four games will be free to watch on Prime.
“Like the rest of the country, we are excited to see the Premier League return to action,” said Alex Green, MD Prime Video Sport Europe.
“We will be making all four of Amazon Prime Video’s additional fixtures in the 2019-20 season available free of charge; fans will not need a Prime membership to view the games on Prime Video.”
