Paulo Dybala tested positive for coronavirus four times

The Argentina international confirmed on March 21 that he and his girlfriend, Oriana Sabatini, had tested positive.

He was one of the first Serie A players to contract coronavirus along with Juventus teammates Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi.

On Wednesday afternoon, Juventus and Dybala confirmed that his latest test had come back negative.

He wrote on Twitter: “Many people talked in the past weeks…but I can finally confirm I am healed.

“Thank you once again for your support and my thoughts on all who are still suffering from it. Take care!”

A Juventus statement read: “Paulo Dybala performed, as per protocol, a double check with diagnostic tests (swabs) for Coronvirus-COVID-19, which came back with negative results.

“The player has, therefore, recovered and will no longer be subjected to the home isolation regime.”

Italy has been one of the world’s hardest-hit countries with the pandemic with 29,684 deaths and 214,000 confirmed cases.

Serie A has been suspended since early March but bosses appear determined to complete the season.

Top-flight clubs were given permission to restart individual training but team session will not be allowed until May 18 at the earliest.

Many clubs still have 13 games of the season left to play with Juventus topping the table just a point clear of Lazio.
