Boxing news: Bob Arum confirms Kubrat Pulev will not step aside for Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury to fight next
Fans will not get their wish to see Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury fight next as Kubrat Pulev will not step aside, according to Bob Arum.
The coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc on the boxing calendar with all fights in the near future postponed.

This led to calls for heavyweight titans AJ and Fury to face each other next, the problem being both are under contract to face someone else.
Joshua has his mandatory challenger Pulev waiting in the wings, while Fury is set to face Deontay Wilder in their trilogy fight.
Fury’s co-promoter Arum said he had spoken to Eddie Hearn, AJ’s promoter, and gave an update on the situation.
Arum told badlefthook.com: “No step aside for Pulev. I talked to Eddie Hearn (Saturday) morning about Joshua vs Pulev.
“It looks like it can’t be the UK, because there couldn’t be spectators. There looks like there are a couple of other possibilities.
“It’s probably not gonna take place until late this year. And definitely not the UK. Also, for Fury vs Wilder, that’s looking like the fourth quarter (of the year).”

Meanwhile, Hearn confirmed in a recent interview that he does not want Joshua to fight behind closed doors and is will to take the bout outside of the UK.
Joshua vs Pulev was originally scheduled to take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20.
Hearn told the Boxing Social: “Do I really want AJ to box behind closed doors? No.
“With what he has produced in terms of that live audience, I will be doing everything I can do to make sure AJ doesn’t fight behind closed doors.”
