According to Italian media outlet Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are prepared to allow Ronaldo to leave this summer for a fee of £50million, with his former club Real Madrid interested in re-signing the Portugal star in a shock deal.

Five-time Ballon d’Or winner Ronaldo spent nine years in the Spanish capital before leaving for Turin in 2018 in a £100m deal.

The 35-year-old helped Los Blancos to eight major honours during his spell with the LaLiga giants, playing an instrumental role in four Champions League triumphs.

In the hope of ending their agonising 14-year wait for European glory, Juventus snapped up the legendary forward in a bid to bolster their chances of winning the competition.

However, the proposition of re-signing Ronaldo depends on whether Real can tie up a deal for PSG ace Kylian Mbappe, who is believed to be Zinedine Zidane’s top priority this summer.

Bernabeu chiefs were confident they could complete a deal for the 21-year-old before the outbreak of coronavirus led to the suspension of football.

However, Real will take confidence in the fact that the World Cup winner is refusing to extend his contract at the Parc des Princes.
