Frank Lampard insists Chelsea can do better after they drew 2-2 with Bournemouth on Saturday.
The Blues dominated possession and had plenty of shots against Eddie Howe’s side but needed an 85th minute equaliser to rescue a point.

Frank Lampard saw his Chelsea side draw 2-2 with Bournemouth
Marcos Alonso got the first goal of the game before Bournemouth bounced back to lead 2-1 thanks to Jefferson Lerma and Josh King.
Alonso then got his second of the game late on as Chelsea again struggled to get a result in the Premier League against the Cherries.
Lampard told talkSPORT: “It was going to be a tough game here. The atmosphere’s tough. They have energy in their team, particularly in the early stages and the early stages of the second half.
“I think we can do better. I thought we had complete control of the ball in the 25 minutes of the first half, last 25 minutes when we scored and the essence is can we keep doing the good things to take the game away from B ournemouth.
“We had a great chance at 1-0 and then they score from a set piece, which is on us. We know it’s coming. We know they are good in the air and get out jumped and that changed the tone of the game.

“I’m not sure (if it’s a point won or two dropped). I don’t care whether to put it in either box. There were elements of it you can say a point gained because of the character and the end when we were pushing but over the whole game, everything considered, we need to win the game.
“We had a big share in the possession and lots of shots on goal. A bad little period in the second half and not being clinical with our chances was the deciding factor.”
Alonso has now scored Chelsea’s last three Premier League goals and, although happy for the defender, Lampard wants his attacking players to be finding the net.

He said: “Credit to Marcos, he arrives and he anticipates with the thought of an attacking player. He’s on the move, as you saw particularly for the headed goal, but I don’t like our left-back being the man scoring our last three goals in the league.
“I like it for Marcos. I won’t take that away from him personally and that’s all credit to him but when you look at how we created the chances today then we need attacking players.
“It takes the game away from Bournemouth. They are obviously in it at 1-0 and that’s something we have seen before this season.”
Top scorer Tammy Abraham again missed out with a troublesome ankle injury picked up in January and Lampard did not know when he would be able to return.
“No I’m not sure yet,” Lampard added. “He’s getting pain in his ankle and there’s no actual date for that yet.”
