Manchester United closely monitoring Donny van de Beek situation at Ajax as Red Devils hold talks with Aston Villa over Jack Grealish
Manchester United are turning their attention to other transfer targets after missing out on Jadon Sancho this summer.
Although there are still a number of weeks until the window closes, Borussia Dortmund insist he will not be sold after their self-imposed deadline passed.
talkSPORT understands Man United are closely monitoring Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek is eager to move on this summer and the £45million-rated ace was left out of Dutch champions’ friendly with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday, with a transfer potentially imminent.
The 23-year-old has impressed with the Eredivisie club since becoming a first-team regular in 2017.
He was an integral member of the squad who reached the Champions League semi-final in 2019.
Ajax coach Erik ten Haag admitted: “There are indeed developments that prevent him from being in the selection. We are looking at how that will end.”
Man United are also set to go back in for Jack Grealish with the Daily Mail claiming they have opened talks with Aston Villa.
The Red Devils were linked with the midfielder but their interest cooled amid their pursuit of Sancho.
They are said to have reignited their interest but Villa are standing firm in their £80million valuation of the 24-year-old.
