Brighton vs Chelsea live stream: How to watch pre-season friendly for FREE with Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech set to feature and fans to return
Brighton welcome Chelsea to the Amex today in a pre-season friendly which sees fans return to elite football in England.
The match has been chosen as one of the government’s pilot events and 2500 people will be allowed in ahead of an official change to restrictions in October.
Those in attendance will hope to see new Chelsea signings Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech, who arrived for a combined total of more than £80m.
They are not expected, however, to watch Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr or Ben Chilwell, who arrived earlier this week.
Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham, Fikayo Tomori, Christian Pulisic , Jorginho, Emerson, Michy Batshuayi, and Ross Barkley are all self-isolating after a COVID scare at the club.
Frank Lampard is likely to call on returning loanees such as Ethan Ampadu and Conor Gallagher, while youth stars such as Ian Maatsen and Henry Lawrence could get a chance to impress.
For Brighton, Ben White will be hoping for some game time after the Seagulls rejected an approach from Leeds.
What time is kick-off?
Brighton vs Chelsea will kick-off at 3pm on Saturday, August 29.
Blues fans are not allowed to attend, but that doesn’t mean they will miss out…
How can I watch?
While the match will not be shown live on UK TV, it will be streamed live for FREE on the Chelsea website or the Fifth-Stand app.
It means Blues fans will get the chance to see new signings Werner and Ziyech in action for the first time.
