Owen Hargreaves urges Manchester United to get Jadon Sancho deal done and says Dortmund ace can make impact like Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United must ‘get the deal done’ for Jadon Sancho.

That’s the message from former Man United, Bayern Munich and England midfielder Owen Hargreaves, who told Jim White on talkSPORT that the England ace would make as big an impact at Old Trafford as the club’s last big-money signing, Bruno Fernandes.

Sancho has been a target of the Red Devils all summer but they have been unable to strike a deal with Borussia Dortmund.

Dortmund imposed a deadline of August 10 to get Sancho’s future sorted and since that date has passed the Bundesliga club has insisted he will not be going anywhere.

The 20-year-old attacker also came out and said he was happy where hehis is but there is still plenty of time until the transfer window closes.

Despite Dortmund playing hardball, Hargreaves thinks they will sell and it’s just about the price.

He told talkSPORT:  “I hope he comes over here. He would be perfect for United.

“I don’t think they (Dortmund) have much of an argument because they’ve pretty much sold everyone, whether it’s been (Robert) Lewandowski, (Mats) Hummels, (Mario) Gotze or (Ousmane) Dembele. Everyone has pretty much left there.

“We know they are a selling club and it’s obviously about money.

“In Jadon, as much as we are in a difficult space right now with everything going in the world, it will be money well spent.

“You just have to get the deal done.

“You saw what Bruno did to United. Jadon would do the same.”

Fernandes was signed from Sporting Lisbon in January and instantly made a difference for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.

He scored 12 goals in 22 games as they finished third in the Premier League and reached the semi-final of the Europa League.
