Mike Tyson’s return to the boxing ring against Roy Jones Jr will now take place on November 28 after the initial date was scrapped.

The former heavyweight champions confirmed in July they would meet one another in September in an exhibition bout.

However, this date has now changed to Thanksgiving Weekend and will also feature former two-weight world champion Badou Jack.

“Changing the date to November 28th will give more people the opportunity to see the biggest comeback in boxing history,” Tyson said in a statement to TMZ Sports.

“This temporary inconvenience will last longer than Roy Jones Jr. He better be ready, I’m coming full force.”

As well as judges at ringside for the bout, one of the four main sanctioning bodies in the world of boxing will award the victor a specially designed belt.

The 54-year-old wants to fight in front of a live crowd, something which was not considered as part of the Carson, California card in September.

The Dignity Health Sports Park is scheduled to host Tyson’s bout against Jones Jr though it’s claimed the fight could be moved to Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

The stadium can seat 80,000 fans, but could operate under strict social distancing measures which could still seat up to 20,000 fans.

Former super-middleweight and light-heavyweight Jack will return on the card against Blake ‘The Beast’ McKernan, a 33-year-old with a 13-0 record who has spent his career as a cruiserweight.

Eddie Hearn thinks it’s sad that Mike Tyson is making boxing comeback

The 36-year-old from Sweden is donating a portion of his fight check to the Badou Jack Foundation to ‘continue to giving kids across the globe a fighting chance in life.’

Also added, Mayweather Promotions prospect Viddal Riley will enter the ring against Rashad Coulter, a former MMA fighter who competed in the UFC until 2018.
