Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is likely to leave Southampton in the summer with Saints wanting £35million for their captain, talkSPORT understands.
The 24-year-old will shortly enter the final year of his contract and the south coast club appear resigned to losing their skipper should the valuation be met.
The midfielder fuelled rumours of an exit from St Mary’s with his comments in the German press where he said he had ambitions of winning the Champions League and Premier League.
talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, giving an exclusive transfer update on the Southampton ace, told White and Sawyer: “We’ve been following this story over the last couple of weeks.
“I read out those quotes from him speaking in Germany a fortnight or so ago saying he wants to go on and play in the Champions League and play for a club which is capable of competing for the title.
“Southampton have put a £35m price tag on Hojbjerg’s head. We know there is interest from Spurs, Leicester and Everton as well.
“I think it is looking very likely now that Pierre Hojbjerg, who only has a year left on his contact and is Southampton captain, will be leaving St Mary’s this summer if one of those clubs is willing to meet that asking price.”
Hojbjerg joined Southampton from Bayern Munich in 2016 for a transfer fee of around £12.8m.
He has gone on to make 129 appearances for Saints over the last four seasons and has scored five times.
