Full Strawberry Moon - weather forecast for best viewing spots across UK tonight

If you’re a fan of stargazing, make sure you book this evening off in your diary.

A Full Strawberry Moon is set to appear tonight, and you don’t want to miss it!

A full moon occurs when the moon is located on the opposite side of the Earth as the Sun, meaning its face is fully illuminated.

The lunar spectacle should be visible across the UK, although the weather in your area may affect how clear and bright your view is.

The Met Office website says: “Rain and strong winds in the north moving into Northern Ireland and northern England. Some coastal gales likely here. Further south a few showers but a dry night for many.”

Here’s a round-up of the weather forecast for the best viewing spots across the UK tonight.

Scotland – Unfortunately, the Met Office predicts rain and cloud across much of Scotland this evening, which could make it tricky to see the Strawberry Moon

Northern Ireland – While there’s expected to be some late brightness this evening, it’s expected to become cloudy with showers or longer spells of rain overnight
