Mayweather Promotions CEO responds to Floyd Mayweather vs Adrien Broner rumours

Floyd Mayweather has posted multiple training videos during the coronavirus lockdown as he’s continued to tease a 2020 comeback.

So much so in fact, that the 50-0 legend has this week been the focus of fight speculation once again.

Rumours started to surface suggesting that Mayweather would be coming back for a money-spinning bout with Adrien Broner.

However, Mayweather Promotions’ CEO Leonard Ellerbe has reacted to these claims by completely denying them.

Ellerbe told Kevin Iole: “One million per cent false, total silliness.

“Whomever is spreading this nonsense, it’s an outright lie.”

Previously, Floyd stated that he would only return for potential crossover bouts with MMA stars coming to face him in the boxing ring once again.

He won a fight of this nature against Conor McGregor in 2017 and proposed a rematch or even a bout with his UFC conqueror Khabib Nurmagomedov.

As for Broner, the man who was once boxing’s hottest prospect is now 30 years old and has not been seen in the ring since being comprehensively beaten by Manny Pacquiao 15 months ago.
