Manchester City’s third kit for 2020/21 season leaked and superfan Liam Gallagher hates it

It’s that time of year where we’re starting to see more and more kit leaks for next season.

FootyHeadlines often reveal new offerings first and we have seen recently what Arsenal, Real Madrid, Juventus and Bayern Munich’s home kits could look like next term.

And they have also got their hands of images of Manchester City’s third kit for the 2020/21 season.

It’s said the kit is a tribute to Manchester’s music scene

It’s fair to say the strip has a unique design, which has a garish paisley pattern to it.

According to FootyHeadlines’ description, it combines the colours ‘whisper white’ and ‘peacoat’ with an eye-catching all-over paisley print.

They go onto say that the Puma strip has been inspired by Manchester’s music scene as their bands have had such a big impact on the world.

The paisley pattern is said to be linked with the ‘Brit Pop’ music scenes of the 1960s and 1990s.

It’s not gone down well with some Man City fans

Well, it seems one person who played a major part in developing Manchester’s music scene is not a fan of the kit.

Liam Gallagher, the former Oasis frontman, took to Twitter to criticise the shirt that his beloved City could be wearing next season.

In fact, he hates it so much that he feels whoever designed it needs to be transported to Wuhan, the Chinese city where the coronavirus pandemic started, as punishment.

He tweeted: “Who ever is responsible for that new Man City kit needs putting on the next flight to WUHAN and who ever buys it needs to be on the 1 after c’mon you should f****** know LG x”

The tweet has since been deleted.

It may be a while before it’s confirmed what kits City will wear next season as the powers that be are hoping to play out the remainder of the 2019/20 season as part of the ‘Project Restart’ plans.

City are on the verge of being dethroned as champions of England, with leaders Liverpool 25 points ahead of them in the Premier League table.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side won the Carabao Cup in March and are still competing in the Champions League and FA Cup.
