Leaked images of WWE's inventive set up from the roof of their offices for Money in the Bank emerge

WWE has persevered through the coronavirus pandemic.

Rightly or wrongly, WWE have continued putting on shows and managed to present WrestleMania 36 – over two nights no less – under intense scrutiny.

Their next pay-per-view is Money in the Bank on May 10 and the company have decided to have it emanate from their WWE headquarters, previously know as Titan Towers, in Stamford, Connecticut.

The tagline is superstars have to literally ‘climb the corporate ladder’ and they will fight on the roof of the building.

That premise was quite a lot to digest to some and many wondered how WWE are going to make that work.

Some images of the WWE’s setup on top of their HQ has been released by The Wrestle Daily and it seems like WWE have a pretty cool idea.

While it’s still not clear how superstars battle their way to the top of the building, it seems that when they get to the top it will be something of a traditional ladder match – albeit on a roof.

So far, we know that Seth Rollins will challenge Drew McIntyre for the WWE title at the event and four men have qualified for the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match.

They are Daniel Bryan, Apollo Crews, Aleister Black and Rey Mysterio. For the women, Asuka, Shayna Baszler, Sasha Banks, Lacey Evans, Dana Brooke and Nia Jax has been announced for the ladder match.

It’s been reported that some of the show has already been recorded.

Vince McMahon decided to let several talents go from WWE last week in order to combat the effects COVID-19 is having on WWE’s business.

With no live events and gate receipts to speak of, or merchandise sales to rely on beyond online sales, WWE’s income has taken a hit.

However, many believe that by still running their TV shows and pay-per-views – like Money in the Bank – they will still receive major money this year from FOX and the USA Network that will see them remain profitable.
