DAZN has reportedly asked the Premier League to defer broadcast payments amid the uncertainty which surrounds the current campaign.
Top-flight football is currently suspended because of the coronavirus pandemic and officials have not given a date as to when it will return, instead keeping the situation under constant review.

There is no guarantee the Premier League season will resume
It is understood DAZN – which holds rights to stream all Premier League matches in Brazil, Canada, Japan and Spain – is not willing to pay for games until there is clarity regarding when, or if, they will take place.
The streaming service said in a statement: “We don’t discuss commercial conversations but we’re, of course, in the process of working closely with partners to reach reasonable solutions given the unprecedented circumstances.”
Premier League executive director Bill Bush reportedly told players at a meeting on Saturday that there will be losses of more than £1billion across the 20 clubs if the season is cancelled.

Of that sum, it is understood £762million would come from lost TV revenue, as services such as DAZN retrieve prior payments or refuse to give more money.
Crunch talks between Premier League clubs and their senior players continue to take place this week over proposed pay cuts to help football cope with the coronavirus crisis.
The two parties are currently at an impasse with regards to the action players should take to help out financially.
Premier League chiefs propose a 30 per cent pay cut, but the PFA have expressed concern over whether the money would be used for the right things during the pandemic.
