West Ham supporter survey reveals widespread dissatisfaction with David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady

A huge majority of West Ham fans think co-owners David Gold and David Sullivan, along with vice-chairman Karren Brady, are doing a ‘poor’ job.

Hammers fans have long been unhappy with the bosses of their beloved club with protests held on recent matchdays at the London Stadium.

And a survey of 11,672 match-going West Ham supporters proved damning to Gold, Sullivan and Brady, reports the Daily Telegraph.

Of the fans who responded, 73 per cent thought the trio were doing a ‘poor’ job in their roles.

One particular bone of contention continues to be the move to the London Stadium from the Boleyn Ground, with the oft-criticised stadium still widely hated by the Hammers faithful.

When asked if the move to the new stadium had been a good idea, 67 per cent replied ‘no’.

In the same survey from 12 months ago, only 27 per cent of those who responded shared that opinion.

More worryingly for Sullivan, Gold and Brady is that 57 per cent of people said the London Stadium would never feel like home.

These poll results have led to further calls for the trio to up and leave the club.

A statement from the West Ham United Independent Supporters’ Association said: “Do the right thing David Sullivan, David Gold and Karren Brady, West Ham United deserves it.

Hammers United added: “We are not surprised at the damning results of the 2020 London Stadium survey.

“Karren Brady said there were just a few ‘malcontents’ who were unhappy. But this independent survey confirms the true feelings of the West Ham supporters with only five per cent believing the board are doing a good job.

Tony Cascarino reckons some West Ham fans would choose owners leaving over Premier League survival

“Baroness Brady spoke of ‘a magnificent new home’, ‘the most successful stadium migration in history’ and ‘a world-class team for a world class stadium’. She should now take the honourable course of action and offer her immediate resignation.”

Fans are understandably unhappy with the progress made by the Hammers in recent seasons, particularly with the club fighting against relegation this season.

West Ham are 16th in the Premier League table, only out the relegation zone on goal difference, heading into the enforced coronavirus suspension.

Brady wrote in her column in The Sun that the season should be declared null and void if the season cannot be finished due to COVID-19.
