Diego Costa was far from a happy man during the second half at Anfield on Wednesday night.
With his Atletico Madrid side 1-0 down (1-1 agg) against Liverpool in their Champions League second leg, Diego Simeone opted to take Costa off.
The Atleti striker reacted furiously as he departed after just 56 minutes, muttering to himself as he was replaced by Marcos Llorente.
Liverpool fans around the stadium booed their ex-Chelsea tormenter as he left without making his desired impact on the game.
Costa then emphasised his discontent by booting a kit bag and water bottle holder on the sidelines.
The Liverpool fans responded by cheering and mocking his anger.
Costa began the game in classic fashion, causing controversy and antagonising the home faithful.
At one stage in the first half, Costa not-so-subtly threw the ball away and was spotted by the referee who leniently opted not to book him.
He hugged the official following this decision.
