Gaming headsets often run the gamut from the cheap and garish to the expensive and sleek, but Sennheiser might have just cracked it. The new GSP 370 headphones look great, sound even better, and have the best battery life we’ve experienced in a wireless headset.
Sennheiser is known for its understated headphone designs, and the GSP 370 offers the same build quality audiophiles have come to appreciate. The matte black plastic is not only nice to look at, but it’s lightweight too – meaning the headset is comfortable after hours of use.
Adding to that comfort is the lighter over-ear cups, and if you’re worried that the plastic will make the GSP 370s feel cheap you’d be wrong. They feel snug, but not too tight, and you could happily throw them in a bag without dreading what they’ll emerge looking like.

In fact, if it wasn’t for the adjustable mic, you could see the 370s as a premium pair of headphones. They charge via Micro-USB which is a double-edged sword – we’d love to see a USB-C version, but Micro-USB cables are likely found in plenty of household drawers. The right cup is home to the volume dial (large enough to be able to adjust in the middle of a game), but also isn’t obvious when looking at the unit.
As we noted, the GSP 370s are wireless, and run from a USB dongle which you can plug into your PC or PS4. It’s just a case of plug and play on the PlayStation, and on PC the Sennheiser Gaming Suite software offers plenty of presets and tweaks for power-users.
Bluetooth can be finicky at times, but we’re pleased to report the connection is always strong here – impressive considering the small profile of the USB input included.

Of course, the look and feel of the headset isn’t why you’re buying it, and even if they were below par the Sennheiser GSP 370s sound quality is sensational enough to help you overlook them.
The headset does a wonderful job of mixing both soundtrack and gameplay audio, meaning titles like DOOM, with its chugging guitars and guttural chainsaw growl are a prime showcase – every riff feels urgent, and every demon feels too close for comfort.
We also thoroughly enjoyed a Borderlands 3 multiplayer session, with chat and game audio being clear as day – albeit missing a dedicated mixer. The mic’s noise-cancelling tech alleviates any heavy breathing, but you’ll still want to avoid crunching crisps during a marathon session – it’s common courtesy, people.
In fact, the mic on the GSP 370s might be the best we’ve tested – your co-op partner could be sat right next to you, such is its clarity.
One issue many wireless headphones run into is one of endurance, with battery life failing to keep up with marathon play sessions. Thankfully, the GSP 370s offer an apparent one-hundred hour battery life (that’s 100!), and while we couldn’t push it to those lengths we can confirm we got about 75 hours out of the unit in one sitting. If you’re playing for longer than that in one session, you might need to see a doctor.
The Sennheiser GSP 370 may retail for around £170, but if you find yourself constantly switching from PC gaming to your PS4, they might just be the best option you’ll find. We’d love a chat/game audio mixer but other than that we can’t argue with any of its features.
