A Manchester City supporter raised eyebrows with his stunning suggestion of who should replace Pep Guardiola as manager when he eventually leaves the Etihad.
The Spaniard’s future in charge of the Premier League giants has come under the spotlight in recent months after ending last season with only the Carabao Cup – a poor campaign by CIty’s standards.
Man City have won six major trophies under Guardiola since his appointment in 2016, including back-to-back Premier League titles and claiming the first ever domestic treble in the 2018/19 season.
But the boss is yet again facing ‘Fraudiola’ taunts and claims he’s a ‘chequebook manager’ after failing to make it past the quarter-final stage of the Champions League last term, despite spending close to £1BILLION on transfers.
Many have claimed this season could be the celebrated coach’s final one in charge at the Etihad, including former City star Trevor Sinclair who has insisted on talkSPORT Pep will NOT leave the club as a failure.
But, there are plenty who disagree.
Sam the City supporter is one of them, saying Guardiola must win the European title to make a success of his spell in English football.
And he also revealed his idea for the perfect replacement for the Spaniard – Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa!
It is widely known that Bielsa has been one of Guardiola’s biggest inspirations throughout his coaching career, with claims the former Barcelona boss was once ‘obsessed’ with the Argentine.
And Sam the City fan wants Bielsa to take charge at the Etihad one day, and says he should also bring a top player with him from Elland Road.
“I hope Pep stays on longer than this season,” the supporter told the talkSPORT Breakfast.
“But he HAS to win the Champions League to be regarded as a success, in my opinion. It’s the trophy the club wants.
“But, if he does go, I think Bielsa should take over and he should bring Bamford with him.”
