The FIFA 21 EA Play early access trial period is now live, but some fans are having trouble downloading the game.
EA Play subscribers can now download a full version of FIFA 21 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, but players are only able to access a ten-hour trial of the game until the full release date.
EA Play, which was previously referred to as EA Access/Origin Access, is a monthly paid subscription service that costs £3.99-per-month which gives players on Xbox, PS4 and PC a number of different perks and discounts, including early access to FIFA 21.
If you do decide to use EA Play to get ten-hours early access to FIFA 21, don’t forget that you will still have to purchase an edition of FIFA 21 to play the game after your ten-hour trial has expired.

Also, make sure that you manually close the FIFA 21 application when you are finished with your playing session on both Xbox One and PS4, as the game will continue to run in the background and the clock will continue to run on your trial period!
The FIFA 21 EA Play early access went live at 4pm UK time, allowing players to download FIFA 21 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. However, there was a fair bit of reaction on social media from players on all platforms who aren’t currently able to access the game or to download it.
The most common complaint seems to be in regards to EA Play, with people going to access the service on their console and are either unable to find the game, or given an error message.
This is probably due to the fact that there are vast numbers of people trying to access the service at the same time.
EA Sports offered an update on Thursday night, addressing the issue in a tweet via their FIFA Direct Communication Twitter account.
“We are aware of an issue that’s currently impacting some players’ ability to access the EA Play app on PS4 and Xbox One.
“As a work around, EA Play Members can download the FIFA 21 trial from the FIFA 21 page in your console’s store.”
