Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool ‘sooner rather than later’, talkSPORT told
Mohamed Salah could sensationally LEAVE Liverpool, claims Tony Cascarino.
The 28-year-old has scored an impressive 94 goals in 153 appearances since joining the Reds for £34million from Roma in 2017.
He has also helped Liverpool win a sixth Champions League trophy and a first ever Premier League title.
Salah failed to impress in the Reds’ Community Shield defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, which has led Cascarino to question the forward’s Anfield future.
He told talkSPORT: “The one player who might leave Liverpool sooner rather later, I would think it might be Mo.
“I don’t quite see him having the same intensity as he once did.
“I’m hoping I’m wrong and that’s just a small blip.
“He was just not quite at the races [against Arsenal]. I thought he really struggled to get into the game.”
Salah has three years left on his Liverpool contract after signing a new long-term deal in 2018.
After lifting the Premier League title last month, the Egypt international admitted he was unsure about his Liverpool future.
He said: “I just want to enjoy today and enjoy the moment.
“No one knows the future and what will happen. Let’s see what will happen.
“But at the moment we win the Champions League, we win the Premier League, I’m happy.
“Let’s see what will happen in the future, but I’m very happy to win and achieve those trophies.”
