Jose Mourinho ready to sell Tottenham’s record signing Tanguy Ndombele with Foyth and Aurier also allowed to leave Spurs
Jose Mourinho wants to offload Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer, according to reports.
Spurs signed the France international for a club record £55million from Lyon last summer.
But he struggled for form and fitness in his debut season in England, scoring twice and registering four assists in 29 appearances.
There had been suggestions Tottenham boss Mourinho was prepared to give Ndombele a second chance.
He carried out an impromptu training session with the 23-year-old in a park during the coronavirus lockdown, which resulted in backlash from the public.
Despite Mourinho’s attempts to get the best out of Ndombele, The Sun say the Portuguese has now given up and is ready to cash in.
The report adds that Juan Foyth, who has barely featured since Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino at the helm last November, and Serge Aurier are also allowed to leave.
Foyth is being targeted by his fellow Argentine Marcelo Bielsa, who will look to preserve Leeds’ status in the Premier League for the upcoming season.
Meanwhile, Aurier was a regular starter for Spurs last season but Matt Doherty looks set to be the first-choice right-back following his £15m arrival from Wolves.
Inter Milan have been linked with Ndombele as Antonio Conte seeks a potential replacement for Bayern Munich target Marcelo Brozovic.
Tottenham look set to take at least a £10m hit on Ndombele, who has five years remaining on his current deal at White Hart Lane.
