Compare.bet have looked at how many hashtags had been used for the top European clubs and found which ones have been Instagrammed the most.


The survey found that Juventus was way out in front in terms of popularity on Instagram.


Their success in the football shirt market was no doubt helped by the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018.


Ronaldo is one of the most popular sports stars of his generation and his fans were desperate to get their hands on his latest jersey.

Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool ranks in second with 52,205 hashtags for their club shirt.


The Reds have a global audience and their popularity was sure to be boosted by their recent success in both the Champions League and Premier League.


Fellow Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal come in third and fourth on the list with 49,091 and 44,934.


Thirteen-time European champions Real Madrid come in fifth place ahead of their arch-rivals Barcelona who are down in seventh place.

There are three more English teams in the top-15 list with Chelsea in sixth (41,058), Man City in ninth (20,623) and Tottenham down in 13th (10,621).
