Vodafone down as network crashes for frustrated users across the UK

It’s one of the most popular networks across the UK, but it appears that Vodafone had some issues this morning.

According to Down Detector, the problems began at around 10:06 BST, and affected customers across the UK.

While the reason for the outage remains unclear, of those who reported issues, 40% reported problems with their home broadband, 36% with their mobile phone, and 22% with their mobile internet.

Speaking to Mirror Online, a spokesperson for Vodafone said: “We had an issue affecting mobile data this morning, which is now fixed. We apologise for the inconvenience this will have caused to customers. If any customers are still struggling to get connected, we suggest briefly putting your phone onto airplane mode, or doing a restart, and then trying again.”

Several users took to Twitter to discuss this morning’s issues.

This isn’t the first time that Vodafone experienced issues in recent months – in June, the network crashed for users across the country.

Speaking at the time, a Vodafone spokesperson said: “We had a technical fault affecting calls to and from fixed telephone networks.

“This began shortly after midday, and we fixed the issue at around 14.15. We apologise to those customers that were affected.”
