Real Madrid are believed to be tracking Haaland as they seek a long-term replacement for Karim Benzema, who turns 33 this year.

However, Haaland’s agent, Raiola, insists the Norway forward is ‘happy’ in Germany.

He told Sky Italia: “Haaland is a dream for many clubs, but he will stay at Borussia Dortmund this summer.

“He’s not going anywhere, he’s happy.

“We know he’ll have an important career and it’s not time to leave the club right now.”

Haaland was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United to reunite with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who coached him at Molde.

However, he opted for Dortmund in January because Solskjaer was the ‘only’ person at United pushing for the transfer, according to the youngster’s father, Alf-Inge.

Solskjaer was reportedly interested in signing Haaland for Man United

The former Leeds ace said: “You never know how it would go in other clubs.

“It may well have been good, too, if we had chosen a different route. We’ll never get an answer to that. But we are very happy with the clubs he has been in.

“You have to go to a club where the whole club wants you, not just the coach.

“I think that’s the most important thing, in addition to how the club has been over the last five or 10 years and what direction they’ve taken.

“Because it’s dangerous to just sign for a coach, because he can suddenly be sacked.”
