First images of WWE ThunderDome revealed ahead of official SmackDown debut
WWE have had to be more creative during the coronavirus pandemic.
The deadly virus has forced the company’s hands at times with fans not being able to attend shows since March.

WWE hosted the annual men’s and women’s Money in the Bank matches at their office headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut and pulled off a memorable cinematic Boneyard match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36.
WWE have been using developmental talent to create an atmosphere at their Raw, SmackDown and NXT shows during the pandemic.
However, Vince McMahon and co are set to go to the next level with the introduction of WWE ThunderDome at the Amway Centre in Orlando.
Starting from this week’s SmackDown taping, WWE ThunderDome will bring fans into the arena via huge LED boards to enhance their viewing experience.
The new set-up will include pyrotechnics, lasers, cutting-edge graphics and a drone camera.
Fans are able to buy tickets for WWE ThunderDome online.
Kevin Dunn, WWE’s executive vice president, television production, said: “WWE has a long history of producing the greatest live spectacles in sports and entertainment, yet nothing compares to what we are creating with WWE ThunderDome.
“This structure will enable us to deliver an immersive atmosphere and generate more excitement amongst the millions of fans watching our programming around the world.”
WWE ThunderDome will also host SummerSlam, one of the company’s biggest pay-per-views of the year, on Sunday.
Randy Orton takes on Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, while Dominik Mysterio, son of legendary wrestler Rey, makes his in-ring debut against Seth Rollins.
