Manchester United renew interest in Adrien Rabiot and aim to sign Juventus midfielder when transfer window reopens

Adrien Rabiot has once again emerged as a transfer target for Manchester United, who hope to sign him when the summer window eventually opens.

There are doubts currently over when the transfer window will begin again, with all football suspended due to coronavirus and questions being asked as to when players will be allowed to move club.

Nonetheless, teams continue to identify transfer targets and Man United remain keen on Rabiot, who has long been linked with an Old Trafford switch.

According to Tuttomercatoweb the Red Devils scouted Rabiot earlier this season, and have made plans to swoop for him when the transfer window finally reopens.

Rabiot has been linked with Man United for many years, including last summer when he became a free agent upon the expiration of his Paris Saint-Germain contract.

However, he opted to head to Italy when his deal ran out, signing for perennial Serie A champions Juventus.

Ray Parlour believes football may not return until next year amid coronavirus pandemic

After a slow start in Turin, Rabiot had started to establish himself in Maurizio Sarri’s team before football was suspended worldwide due to the ongoing pandemic.

Despite his improvement, Juve are not totally against selling the 25-year-old midfielder at the end of the season, knowing they will make a huge profit on a player signed for nothing last summer.

Before joining Juventus, Rabiot spent his entire career with PSG after progressing through their academy; he made 227 appearances for the French outfit – winning 18 trophies – and was also capped six times by his country.
