Watch as Jurgen Klopp RAGES at Liverpool fans who try to get high-fives before Atletico Madrid clash amid coronavirus pandemic

Jurgen Klopp vented his fury at Liverpool fans who tried to high-five him and his players before the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid at Anfield.

The Reds released a statement before the match explaining that players would be avoiding contact and reminded fans to exercise good personal hygiene.

As usual, fans seated near the Anfield tunnel tried to interact with the Liverpool players as they walked out onto the pitch before kick-off.

And Klopp, whose side are trying to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg, was caught on camera giving the supporters a serious ticking off. You can see the clip below…

Covid-19 cases in the UK have risen to 480, including eight deaths, and it seems increasingly likely that domestic football will soon go behind closed doors as ‘social distancing’ measures are phased in.

Matches continue to go ahead with fans in the UK, unlike in Spain and France, where domestic sport has been taking place inside empty stadiums.

Meanwhile, in Italy, the second-worst affected country behind China, all sport has been postponed until April 3 at least, and there are fears that the Serie A season may not continue.

Liverpool will hope that a similar situation doesn’t develop in the UK, given they are well on course to win their first top-flight title in 30 years.
