Fuenlabrada star Cristobal Marquez has red card rescinded after VAR review... then gets immediately sent off for clashing with rival player

VAR has wreaked havoc on virtually every single Premier League club this season, with the assistant referees at Stockley Park interfering on a regular basis.

But perhaps some beleaguered bosses can take respite from the fact it is happening all over the world as this latest crazy clip from Spain shows.

During the Segunda clash between Fuenlabrada and Girona, Cristobal Marquez was shown a red card to reduce the hosts to ten men after a high challenge.

However, upon consulting VAR, the referee downgraded the offence to a yellow card and summoned the midfielder back.

But Cristobal was already in the changing room and had to then be summoned back so the referee could get him on the pitch and deliver the booking.

Literally seconds after getting the caution and before a ball was even kicked to restart the game, Cristobal then clashed with Girona captain Alex Granell (the same player he tackled earlier).

As he butted heads with his opposite number, the referee issued both players with a yellow card and duly then produced a red for a player he had sent off just moments ago.

You would have thought the midfielder would have learnt his lesson after being admonished a mere number of minutes before, but he was once again sent off and disappeared down the tunnel for a second time.

To top it all off, Fuenlabrada lost the game 1-0 with the winner from former Middlesbrough striker Cristhian Stuani.
